Air India Express flight diverted

Must read

Air India Express flight IX 385 traveling from Calicut to Dammam was diverted to Thiruvananthapuram airport on Friday due to suspected hydraulic failure. The aircraft reportedly hit the runway during takeoff from Calicut International Airport with 168 passengers on board.

The flight landed safely at Thiruvananthapuram after dumping fuel in the Arabian Sea for safe navigation. A full emergency was declared at the airport, and the airline arranged for the stranded passengers to fly from Thiruvananthapuram to Dammam at 3.30 pm on the same day. Air India Express, headquartered in Kochi, is the low-cost arm of Air India.
