3 Khalistani Terrorists Linked to Punjab Police Attacks Killed in UP Encounter
Three Khalistani terrorists, allegedly behind a series of attacks on police posts in Punjab, were killed during an encounter with a joint team of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh police in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, late last night. Grenade Attacks Sparked High-Level Operations
The encounter followed a series of attacks on Punjab police establishments, including grenade explosions at police posts in Gurdaspur and Amritsar earlier this month. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during these attacks. Authorities suspect the blasts were part of a coordinated effort by Khalistani militants to destabilize the region.
According to Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, the terrorists were responsible for the grenade attack on the Bangar police post in Gurdaspur. He emphasized that investigations are ongoing to dismantle the entire terror network.

Daring Operation in Pilibhit
The encounter occurred in Puranpur, Pilibhit, approximately 750 kilometers from Gurdaspur. Police sources revealed that the terrorists had moved to Pilibhit to seek a hideout in the area, which has a significant Sikh population. Acting on intelligence, a joint team of Punjab and UP police surrounded the suspects. When the terrorists opened fire, the police responded, leading to the death of all three suspects.
The operation, described as “daredevil” by Uttar Pradesh DGP Prashant Kumar, highlights the seamless coordination between the two state police forces. Weapons recovered from the suspects include two AK-series rifles and Glock pistols, underscoring their intent for further violence.
Response
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann lauded the swift action taken by the security forces, promising strict measures against those attempting to disrupt peace in the region. Meanwhile, unverified social media posts claim the Khalistan Zindabad Force has taken responsibility for the earlier blasts.
Authorities are now focusing on uncovering the full extent of the terror module. The incident has brought renewed attention to the importance of vigilance and cooperation among security forces in countering terror threats effectively.
This operation not only neutralizes immediate threats but also sends a strong message to terrorist outfits attempting to exploit local communities and regions for their activities.
