Combining Elegance and Affordability
Founded in 2021, BL Fabric specializes in ethnic wear for women, offering three distinct types of embroidered lehengas: threadwork, zari work, and sequin work. These semi-stitched lehengas stand out for their affordability, priced 65-70% lower than traditional market rates. Customers can also customize the designs to suit their preferences.
With a team of 25 in-house artisans, BL Fabric has developed an impressive collection of 200 unique designs. “Our aim is to make bridal fashion accessible without compromising on quality,” said Mayur, who attributes his success to a deep understanding of customer needs and efficient production processes.

Meteoric Rise in Revenue
Mayur’s entrepreneurial journey began with his brother’s clothing business before launching BL Fabric. By September 2023, the company had achieved Rs 5 crore in revenue, with a 10% net profit margin. Projections indicate that BL Fabric’s revenue could reach Rs 18 crore by the end of 2025, underscoring its rapid growth trajectory.
Mayur’s innovative approach and business acumen caught the attention of Shark Tank India judges. He secured a joint conditional offer of Rs 1 crore for 5% equity from Kunal Bahl and Ritesh Agarwal, providing a significant boost to his venture.
Creativity on Display
Mayur’s creative flair was evident during his Shark Tank India pitch. He designed his own outfit for the show using black faux georgette fabric, embellished with intricate multicolored thread embroidery inspired by nature. Paired with sleek black trousers, the outfit symbolized his brand’s commitment to artistry and detail.
Mayur’s journey reflects a shift in India’s bridal fashion industry, where affordability meets innovation. By offering budget-friendly lehengas without sacrificing quality, BL Fabric is democratizing access to bridal fashion for a wider audience.
As BL Fabric continues to grow, Mayur’s success story inspires aspiring entrepreneurs to think beyond conventional paths and leverage creativity and customer-centricity to build impactful businesses.
