Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to travel to Mandya to inaugurate the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway, an 118 km road that will significantly reduce the travel time from Bengaluru to Mysuru from three hours to just 75 minutes.

The project is expected to drive socio-economic growth in the area, according to a statement by the Press Information Bureau (PIB). During his visit, Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the four-lane motorway connecting Mysore and Kushalnagar, which will cost approximately 4,130 crore to develop.

Modi’s itinerary for the day includes a roadshow from the Inspection Bungalow Circle to Nanda Circle at 11.25 a.m., followed by the official inauguration of the motorway around noon. At 11.40 a.m., he will dedicate the motorway in Hanakere and then participate in a convention in Maddur Taluk’s Gejjalagere Colony from 12.15 to 1.15 pm. During the convention, Modi will address the crowd from 12.40 to 1.15 p.m.

The Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway is a major development in the region and is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy. The reduced travel time between the two cities will make it easier for people to commute, trade, and travel, leading to increased economic activity. The project also aims to improve connectivity between Bengaluru and Kushalnagar, another significant development in the area.

With the inauguration of the motorway and the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the Mysore-Kushalnagar motorway, Modi’s visit to Mandya is an important milestone for the region’s infrastructure development. The new motorway will not only save time for commuters but also drive economic growth, leading to improved living standards for people in the region.
