Pushpa 2 Breaks Records with ₹1,000 Crore Global Collection

On Day 7, Pushpa 2 earned ₹42 crore worldwide, with its total net collection in India reaching ₹687 crore. The film’s Telugu version contributed ₹9 crore, while the Hindi version dominated with ₹30 crore. Other language versions, including Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, added ₹2 crore, ₹0.6 crore, and ₹0.4 crore, respectively.
Occupancy Rates
The film’s strong regional presence is reflected in its occupancy rates, with Telugu leading at 29.92%, followed by Hindi at 32.69%. Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions recorded occupancies of 20.32%, 25.96%, and 8.84%, respectively. According to trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, the film’s total global earnings stand at ₹1,025 crore.
Overtaking RRR and Jawan
Pushpa 2 has not only exceeded expectations but also dethroned some of Indian cinema’s biggest hits. The film broke RRR’s record for the largest opening for an Indian movie and surpassed Atlee’s Jawan to secure the highest-grossing opening in Hindi-language markets.
