RRR Wins Big at Hollywood Critics Association Awards with Best International Film, Best Action Film, Best Stunts and Best Original Song

A String of Impressive Wins for RRR at International Awards

In a string of impressive wins, RRR has added more feathers to its cap with back-to-back victories at the Hollywood Critics Association Awards.

The film won the Best International Film award along with three other big awards, including Best Action Film, Best Stunts, and Best Original Song for the Oscar-nominated “Naatu Naatu”.

The film’s director SS Rajamouli and lead actor Ram Charan were present to receive the award, while Jr NTR was MIA at the ceremony.

During his acceptance speech, director SS Rajamouli expressed his gratitude and said, “Aaah! The best International film…Again to all my fellow filmmakers in India, it is for all of us to believe we can truly make International films! Thank you HCA for that…it means a lot. Thank you very much…a lot. Jai Hind.” Meanwhile, Ram Charan also expressed his surprise and gratitude and said, “I didn’t expect to come up (on the) stage, because I was told by my director to accompany him, so…thank you so much for giving us all this love, it’s just a great response, so we’re going to come back with better films and entertain you all. Thank you so much, thank you HCA.”

The film has been dominating the international award season with several wins under its belt. It also won two awards at the Critics Choice Awards in Los Angeles, including Best Foreign Language Film and Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu. The song also won the Best Song award at the 80th Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles this year. The film has been nominated for the Oscars as well.

RRR is a fictitious story set in the 1920s, based on two legendary freedom fighters – Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem. The film features an impressive cast, including Ram Charan and Jr NTR in lead roles, alongside Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, and Ray Stevenson. The film has received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike, both in India and across the globe.
