Dr. Singh had been under medical care for age-related conditions and lost consciousness at home earlier in the evening. According to an official statement from AIIMS, resuscitative measures were initiated immediately before he was brought to the Medical Emergency at 8:06 PM. Despite the best efforts of medical staff, he was declared dead at 9:51 PM.
