Triple Murder in South Delhi Cracked: Son Arrested as Prime Suspect
The Delhi Police have solved the chilling murder of a couple and their 23-year-old daughter in South Delhi’s Neb Sarai within hours of the crime. Investigations revealed that the killings were orchestrated by the family’s son, Arjun, who has been taken into custody. The 20-year-old college student reportedly carried out the murders over a perceived grudge against his family.
A Heinous Crime Discovered
On Wednesday morning, the lifeless bodies of Rajesh Kumar, 51, his wife Komal, 46, and their daughter Kavita were found in their home. The couple had been celebrating their 27th wedding anniversary the night before. Arjun, the younger son of the family and a second-year Delhi University student, initially claimed to have been on a morning walk and reported the incident to the police upon his return.
Further investigation uncovered the gruesome details. The victims had been fatally stabbed, with injuries primarily to their throats. Arjun allegedly wished his parents on their anniversary before leaving the house to establish an alibi. However, inconsistencies in his statements and the absence of any signs of forced entry led police to suspect his involvement.

The Investigation
Police examined CCTV footage from the area and confirmed that no outsider had entered the house. Additionally, there were no indications of robbery or ransacking. Upon further questioning, Arjun reportedly confessed to the crime, admitting that he had meticulously planned the murders.
Arjun, who has a background in boxing and represented Delhi in competitions, harbored resentment toward his father for frequent scolding and public humiliation. He also discovered that his father intended to leave the family property to his sister, which fueled his anger and feelings of isolation.

The family, originally from Haryana, had moved to Delhi 15 years ago to provide better educational opportunities for their children. Despite this, Arjun felt unsupported and neglected by his family. This growing resentment culminated in a calculated act of violence on the day of his parents’ wedding anniversary.
Police revealed that Arjun had planned the murders well in advance, using the anniversary as a smokescreen to deflect suspicion. After committing the crime, he attempted to stage the scene to mislead investigators by claiming to have been out of the house during the incident.

Local politicians criticized the central government, which oversees the Delhi Police, accusing it of failing to ensure safety for residents.
